STRUCTURE: In Part 1, athletes will build to a heavy double Squat Clean and Push Jerk (or split). In Part 2, athletes will complete Macho Man (3 Power Cleans, 3 Front Squats, 3 Push Jerks) on the Minute for 10 Minutes.
STIMULUS: “MACHO MAN V2” is a Heavy Threshold workout.
STRATEGY: Athletes should choose a weight they can complete all 10 Rounds.
SCALING: Athletes can go lighter and increase the reps to 5 Power Cleans, 5 Front Squats, 5 Push Jerks.
SCORING: Athletes’ score will be their Lowest Completed Weight.
The original Macho Man is written as 185/135#. In todays workout you want to try to choose a weight you can maintain for all 10 rounds but if you have to go down in weight your score will be your LIGHTEST round. If you use the same weight for all 10 rounds then that is the weight you will enter
-Athletes score will be their Lowest Weight
-Athletes must be done with all 3 Push Jerks before the next minute starts
-Athletes ideally use the same weight for all 10 Rounds
