STRUCTURE: In Part 1 athletes will complete 2 sets of as many Strict Pull-Ups as possible. Athletes will begin Part 2, “Mind Games” by running 2000 Meters, then they will complete 70 Power Cleans and 70 Burpees Facing their Bars, splitting those reps up however they’d like.
STIMULUS:”Mind Games” is a Threshold workout.
STRATEGY: A 2,000 Meter Run should take athletes 13:00 or less, leaving them 12:00 to accumulate 70 Cleans and 70 Bar Facing Burpees.
SCALING: Choose a distance on the run that can be completed in 13:00. Choose a weight on the barbell that allows for at least consistent singles. Choose a number and variation on the Bar Facing Burpees that would allow for consistent movement within a set of 20.
SCORING: Part 1 is scored for total reps. Part 2’s score is the time it takes to complete the workout. Today’s workout is time capped at 25:00.
