Josie is the longest member of CrossFit Now.
We opened our doors on October 18, 2010 and Josie joined on October 30th 2010. She traveled around for several years and just recently ended back at CrossFit Now
ANY FAMILY YOU WANT TO BRAG ABOUT?
I feel like all my kids are bad asses. Three boys and one girl. The boys have been involved with MMA since they were in preschool. We all enjoy sparring as a family including my daughter.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN WHEN YOU'RE NOT IN THE GYM?
I spend time with family and my boyfriend. We enjoy shooting, traveling, camping, and eating real good food and wine.
DOJ Amber Alert Liaison, airman at Morris Air National Guard, Costco Wholesale
Josie was on our original CrossFit Now team in 2011 for South West Regionals!
WHAT Something we don’t know about you…
I was a single mom of four children and raise them by myself. I have a black belt in fighting and weapons. I used to play on a woman’s semi pro football team called Monsoon. Myself and my boys have competed in Las Vegas for titles. I took on mentoring 10 teenage girls in foster care after my children were grown. I enjoy volunteering my time back to the community and to our military members.
How did you hear about CrossFit Now?
I followed Jen and Mike when they opened their first facility because of their commitment of caring towards CrossFit members. They truly do care about people..
I love doing Power Cleans
LEAST FaVORITE MOVEMENT
Overhead squats suck balls
what is your crossfit goal?
I want to look the best I can for my last year in my 40s.
FAVORITE crossfit now memory
I truly miss the Crossfit family that stay close while working out together and even closer sharing special holidays together outside of the gym. My best memory is when we had a member Chris DeRosa dress up like Santa Claus and passed out presents to everyone.
Advice you would give someone wanting to try CrossFit?
The members are what truly make a CrossFit gym. When you need to finish a round or just need some guidance someone should always be there for you. Everyone’s first two weeks is rough but if you get past that you were truly love working out
Anything else you would like to share?
Thank you Jen and Mike for everything you do for your members. I think the world of both of you.
